Giants Tornado Bee will no doubt desperately seek to avoid a trophy less campaign this season and after losing the Jazz Safari National Cricket Men's League to Aziz Damani, the National T20 Cup is their last hope.

They started off precisely on the right note with a 37 run triumph over Wanderers on Sunday at Kyambogo Oval.

Deus Muhumuza and Akbar Baig imposed themselves with the bat, scoring 22 from 18 balls and 19 from 23 balls respectively in an innings where Zubair Tembo claimed 3 wickets for Wanderers.

Requiring 94, Nirav Hathi's 17 from 33 balls was not a good enough return to inspire his team who were subjected to ruthless bowling by man of the match Cyrus Kibuuka Musoke (4/15 in 3.4 overs)

At Entebbe, a Chentai Halai inspired SKLPS to a 25 run win against Avengers to gain the early momentum in the exciting shorter version of the game.

Halai who was man of the match knocked 38 from 28 balls on the way to SKLPS' 127 despite Garesh claiming 3 wickets.

In the National League, Challengers defeated already relegated Nile by an overwhelming 200 runs. Challengers are in line to end their league campaign in fourth position but they will have to win their final game to unseat KICC who are two points ahead on 47.

Ivan Thawithemwira crashed 77 runs from 52 balls before David Wabwire fared well with the ball claiming 6 wickets in the second innings of the game.

Meanwhile Africa Cricket Club's pursuit for qualification to the top tier ended sadly as Jinja SS failed to turn up for the game that Rokani Sylvester and Co. had to win comprehensively to book a place in division one.

They settled for just five points from the walk over which means they missed out by one point below second placed Strikers and leaders Premier who both have 51 points.

The top two will join division one next season
