Best DJs awarded

The awards ceremony sought to reward the best in the entertainment business.

Ugandan Deejays have been associated with everything wrong from being thugs to sleeping with multiple woman. However, the UG Mix maestro awarded male and female disc jockeys with creative talent that entertain revelers all night in night clubs.

At Golf Course Hotel in Kampala, the awards ceremony sought to reward the best in the entertainment business. The judges of the night were Kayondo Ricky, Adero Marianne, Mwalye Seth and Lieven Peeters, all professional Deejays.

 

 

 



The battle began with five girls: DJ Suz Beats from Arua, DJ Lolah from Mid-Western region, DJ Nelly from Eastern, DJ XZYL and DJ Kathy from Central. The males included DJ Titi Norid from Arua, DJ Andy Mix, DJ Sean Davis, DJ Shan 256, DJ Ranx and DJ Denno. They went into the preliminary rounds three made it to the finals on either side.

The female deejay award went to Franchesika Nyakaisiki, who beat Abitegeka Marian and Ongaria Suzan aka DJ Suz Beats from Norhtern Uganda, while Nsamba Shaban aka DJ Shan 256, floored Owiny Daniel from Eastern and Kyomuhendo Andrew from Mid-Western.

The Outstanding achievement award went to Charlie Lubega for his personal contribution to the deejay history of Uganda.
