Kabaka tours Kampala

Business in Kampala this morning come to a standstill as hundreds of people jammed city streets to welcome Kabaka Ronald Mutebi II.

Many people climbed on top of buildings as the Kabaka moved along Jinja Road, Port bell Road, Kampala Road, Bombo Road, Kawempe and Makindye where he checked on vendors and area residents. The Kabaka also visited various individual homes in Kawempe and Makindye.

The Kabaka's tour under a weekly bulungi bwansi programme began at Kampala City Abattoir along Port Bell Road where he was welcomed by hundreds of people.

Kattikiro Charles Peter Mayiga, Kampala minister Beti Kamya, Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, Kampala Central Division Mayor, Charles Musoke Sserunjogi, were among hundreds of people who accompanied the Kabaka during his tour.
