Bebe Cool, Kenzo pay tribute to Danz Kumapeesa

Uganda's top musicians Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool and Idris Musuuza commonly known as Eddy Kenzo have mourned music producer Dans Kumapesa, who passed on this Saturday morning.

The message of his passing was also confirmed by Winnie Nwagi during a phone interview. Nwagi also told New Vision that the producer died from his home in Makindye, a Kampala suburb.

Dans Kumapesa real name Dan Muwanguzi, has been for over three months battling with the injuries inflicted on by thugs who beat him when he was moving from work heading home.

He has been receiving medical treatment at Nsambya Hospital in Kampala and several artistes and well-wishers have been helping to raise money for the accumulated medical bill.

Bebe Cool via his Facebook page says: "Sad news this morning as Danz Kumapesa gives up on the fight for life,RIP."

Whereas Kenzo wrote: "Gone too soon my brother Danz Kumapesa. Rest in peace Brother. I'm speechless I thought you gona come back R.I.P Danie. You will always be remembered.

Kumapesa is known for producing local hits such as Musawo by Winnie Nwagi, Mbozi za malwa by Bebe Cool and Sauti Sol among others.
