Battling in the Stableford Format for two days, the tournament will climax on Saturday with amateurs' category and the Seniors' category for those above 55 years of age.

Golfers will find a new innovation at the Entebbe Club course as they compete in the 20th edition of the JBG Open Golf Tournament today.

The water hazard on hole-No18 has been turned into a water fountain by the sponsors to add beauty to the oldest golf course in the country. This is another addition by them as they have been at the forefront of improving the course annually.

"The water hazard on hole 18 it has been modified and beautified to give golfers and the area a sense of life," Gauff Consultant Company Managing Director, Emmanuel Mugamba, stated at a media briefing at Gauff offices in Kololo today.

"We are trying to conserve nature and we appeal to all people out there to join the cause," Mugamba added.

Mugamba also appealed to the new generation of corporates to continue supporting sports.

This year's event will be played under the theme: "Innovative Thinking Leading to Higher Target."
