Cranes is second in Group E with seven points

Tony Mawejje and Savio Kabugo are likely to step in for suspended duo Khalid Aucho and Murushid Jjuuko as Uganda prepare to take on Ghana in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier on Saturday at Mandela National Stadium, Namboole.

Interim coach Moses Basena has been assessing Mawejje and Kabugo's compatibility with his plans during training sessions this week.

Aucho and Jjuuko will miss Saturday's mouth-watering encounter due to suspension.

The duo picked up yellow cards during Cranes 1-0 defeat to Egypt in Alexanderia last month.

Jjuuko and Aucho were booked in the 74th and 90+1 minutes respectively after being booked in Cranes' goalless draw away to Ghana last year in Tamale.

Cranes is second in Group E with seven points, two behind leaders Egypt.
