YMCA v Gulu

Organisers of the University Football League (UFL) have decided to play the final group matches between defending champions Kampala University and Bugema as well as YMCA's clash with Gulu be played at the same time to avoid a possible match fixing.

The Group C teams are eyeing two quarterfinal slots and Kampala University, YMCA and Gulu all have chances of qualify.

"Playing today's game (KU versus Bugema) can influence the result of the game on Friday. Therefore we want to keep the competition intact for the eventual winners to deserve it," UFL manager Anthony Tumwesigye said.

YMCA with eight points face leaders Gulu who are on 10 points well knowing that the fight is still on for the two teams as well reigning champions Kampala University who are not far away on nine points.

Kampala University will play winless Bugema University in what is expected to be a one sided affair on Wednesday while YMCA hosts Gulu.

Over the weekend, Makerere University joined Nkumba, MUBS, Uganda Martyrs University and Kyambogo in the quarterfinals.
