Villa player Samson Kirya has been handed a two match suspension

SC Villa has been fined sh1m by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel for acts of violence by its fans and players in the 1-0 loss to Vipers in the Uganda Premier League on Saturday at St Mary's Stadium in Kitende.

Villa player Samson Kirya has been handed a two match suspension for threatening violence against the referee and unsporting behaviour while club manager Muhammed Jumba has been handed a four match touchline ban during which he also won't access the dressing room.

The game was marred by fan violence with Villa fans breaking down the barricade that separated the VIP section from the ordinary stands. The fans accused the match referee Alex Muhabi for being biased.

Apart from the fine, SC Villa has also been docked two points and two goals.

"The case of stadium destruction and misbehaviour of some of SC Villa fans stated in Vipers' petition has been forwarded to the FUFA Disciplinary Committee for more investigations. The Disciplinary panel has given both parties 48 hours if they have any chance of appealing the decisions taken" the FUFA statement read.
