The re-union function of the Old Students of Lubiri Secondary School turned musical when the school's musical alumni stormed the venue unexpectedly and put up captivating performances.

The artistes who graced the unction on Saturday included Zan Brown,  Kapalaga, Diplock Ssegawa and Dalaus Kaweesi (the founding Director of Nje Cultural Performers), who wowed the guests with his patriotic Ganda song, Njagala Uganda ( I love Uganda).

But it was Eddie Kanzo who stole the show with his flamboyant arrival and subsequent ecstatic performance. There was unprecedented excitement as the Sitya Loss star arrived in his Range Rover, in his usual showy style.

On noticing his arrival, the students rushed to hug him and take pictures with him. At times he had to change positions as the students intercepted his performance. Kenzo responded to the students' gesture of love by playing a good number of his hits.

Much as the event was overtaken by music, the alumni's function still retained serious business.

The President of the alumni's association (LOSA), Dr Gordon Katende Sematiko, promised to do more to re-unite the alumni and to encourage them to be more supportive to the school.

The Vice-President, Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi thanked the alumni for spearheading infrastructure development projects at the school before pledging his support towards the school's development programmes.
