CONSULTANCY SERVICES FOR UNDERTAKING AN ASSESSMENT OF THE POTENTIAL IMPACTS OF OIL AND GAS DEVELOPMENT AND ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES ON WATER RESOURCES, AND DEVELOPING AN INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE ALBERTINE GRABEN



The Government of Uganda through the Ministry of Water and Environment (MWE) intends to undertake an assessment of the potential impacts of oil and gas development and associated activities on water resources, and develop an integrated water resources development and management plan for the Albertine graben.

Towards the achievement of this objective, MWE intends to procure consultancy services for this purpose. The study in intended to; (i) provide a detailed assessment of water resources availability and demand in the Albertine Graben, (ii) identify potential threats and/or pressures and impacts of oil and gas and related activities on water resources, (iii) propose strategies to address the identifi ed threats and pressures and for sustainable development and management of water resources in Albertine Graben, and (iv) provide a costed water resources development and management master plan for Albertine Graben.

MWE now invites eligible consultancy fi rms to indicate their interest in providing these services. Consultancy fi rms must provide information indicating that they are qualifi ed to perform the services (description of similar assignments, experiences in similar conditions and availability of appropriate skills).

To qualify for pre-qualifi cation, the scope of work done in the past should be for at least three (3) similar assignments. The information presented for pre-qualifi cation should be comprehensive. Past projects should be in nature of work done so as to generate an account of extent to the services in both scope and cost.
