Cranes summon players for Ghana match

Cranes, who are seeking to make it to the World Cup finals are second in group E, with seven points - two below leaders Egypt.

Tony Mawejje and Idrisa Lubega are some of the 35 players that Uganda Cranes Interim coach Moses Basena has summoned to start preparing the 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifier with Ghana on October 7th at Mandela National stadium, Namboole.

The duo had been left out in the Cranes double header with Egypt. Both players have been impressive IN the past weeks for their different clubs.

They join Geoffrey Kizito, who was summoned against Egypt, but failed to make it.

Cranes, who are seeking to make it to the World Cup finals are second in group E, with seven points - two below leaders Egypt. Ghana and Congo-Brazzaville come third and fourth with five and one point respectively.

The summoned squad will start training next week on Wednesday before proceeding to Northern Uganda on September 30th to play a friendly match with a selected side from Lira.
