Rukundo departs KCCA for Rwanda's APR

The right back joins a lengthy list of departures from the league champions

Denis Rukundo is the latest player to leave the league champions KCCA after sealing a move to Rwanda's APR FC.

The right back joins the Rwanda army side on a two year deal just a year after joining KCCA from Maroons.

"All the best of luck to Rukundo Deni (Denis) he joins #APR on a 2 year deal," KCCA announced on twitter.

Rukundo who is arguably one of the best right backs in the country struggled for playing time under coach Mike Mutebi with club captain Dennis Okot getting the nod.

He joins number of other Ugandan players that have featured for APR FC such as, Hassan Mubiru, Phillip Ssozi, Abubaker Tabula and Habib Kavuma.

Rukundo joins a lengthy list of departures from the league champions including Sulaimon Akinyemi, Robert Ssentongo, Geoffrey Sserunkuma, Vincent Kayizzi, Tom Masiko, Lawrence Kasadha, Ivan Ntege, Brian Majwega and Hassan Wasswa Dazo.

Sserunkuma and Akinyemi joined Zambia's Buildcon while Masiko and Ntege moved to Vipers and Botswana's Township Rollers respectively. 

Goalkeeper Douglas Kisembo has moved to Police FC on loan.
