Betway Power condemned Nkumba Marines to their 10th loss of the season with 77-58 win at the UCU court in Mukono on Sunday.
Arnold Lando’s Power, controlled the game from the start to finish, scoring 23 and 17 points in the 3rd and last quarter to seal the victory.
Even with the absence of team captain Joseph Ikong, Betway Power’s players managed to score in double figures .
Micheal Makiadi led the Power team with a game high 18 points and 10 rebounds while Kasinde Francis added 16 points and 11 rebounds.
Isaac Afidra, Willy Nijimbere and Paul Odong added 13, 11 and 10 respectively to lead Power to their first win in the second round after they lost to the Pemba Warriors 65-64 in a rsther tight contest that ended in overtime.
Meanwhile, the Marines had a slow start with Sydney Chasimba, Bryan Sivachi, Amos Juma, Charles Karamagi and Malvin Ndayi, losing the first quarter 10-18 before taking a 28-37 deficit in the second quarter.
In other games, KIU Titans registered their 8 win of the season with a 64-49 win over the Star Times Falcons while the JKL Dolphins lost 57- 61 to Nsambya’s Sharing Youth in a closely contested game.
