Ugandan musician Bebe Cool (real name Moses Ssali) has appealed to singers  and music promoters  to join hands and raise money to save a city music producer Dan Muwanguzi, better known as Danz Kumapesa, who is currently battling for his life at Nsambya Hospital, in Kampala.

Bebe Cool took to social media to broadcast his message.

"Am calling upon Ugandan musicians to take a stand and pay these bills for this fellow Ugandan, a producer and youthful soul," he wrote.

Kumapesa was attacked in June this year as he reportedly left for home from work, and has since been hospitalized, with his hospital medical bills piling.

The Love You Everyday hitmaker asked fellow musicians Jose Chameleone and Bobi Wine (Kyadondo East MP) and several producers such as Balaam and Kavuma to contribute towards Kumapesa's medical bills.

"I know you have done this before but let us lead as examples here because even after paying this bill he needs more financial support for the next two years," he wrote on his Facebook page.

"But we will still appreciate whoever brings in a significant amount at this moment so that Danz can leave the hospital to avoid more bills pilling."

This is not the first time that the musicians have come together to help Kumapesa. The first one was a carwash fundraiser that was conducted on July 1 at Panamera bar in Naguru.

More than sh7m was raised from this drive, which went towards the producer's treatment.

"It is our responsibility to give back to those who have given us through their sons and daughters, not forgetting who we all claim to be the richest, best, big, number one, educated blablabla," wrote Bebe Cool.

Danz Kumapesa is the brain behind several songs such as Bebe Cool's Mbozi za Malwa and Winnie Nwagi's Musawo.
