My twin brother once took my girlfriend

All twins have some character traits which make them pay the price for each other and they don't feel offended at all.

Esau Abainomugisha and Jacob Tumusiime have on many occasions suffered mistaken identity by their parents and friends.

We once shared a girlfriend during our teen years without notice as she could not tell us apart.

"I once dated a girl and with time, Jacob fell in love with her and by the time I realized, they had gone far in the relationship. I felt so offended, but forgave both of them and moved on," recalls Esau.

 
Esau still recalls when Jacob dated a woman who vends 'bitengi' and took her for an outing on a weekend. The next weekend, she came to his shop and requested him to take her back.

"I called Jacob and told him about it and they met again. The incident really shocked me," says Esau.

The 46-year-old businessmen still confuse their mother and they have to introduce themselves because they are identical in all they do apart from their residences.

The twins said their clients cannot tell them apart and in most cases, they end up taking each other's money but always give it to the rightful owner.

"Jacob is fond of messing up my wife most times as he comes home and she serves him thinking it is me until he tells her my message" Esau says.

"I can call her and we talk as if she is talking to her husband but it ends there as I can never do what I did in the past," says Jacob.

Jacob describes Esau as a very jolly and stubborn person though when he is serious, he means it but Esau says Jacob is very reserved and humble.
