The defender is off to South Africa from a trial stint

African Nations Championship: Rwanda v Uganda (Agg 0-3)

Uganda Cranes will miss the services of defender Savio Kabugo for the 2nd leg of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier in Rwanda.

Kabugo who started as Cranes beat Rwanda 3-0 in the first leg left the country today ahead of his trial stint with South Africa's Bloemfontein Celtic.

Kabugo's departure comes after two other players Martin Kizza and defender Timothy Awany returned from trial stints of their own. Kiiza and Awany travelled to Serbia and South Africa respectively.

Kabugo joins a pool of other Cranes players that have had trial stints in South Africa including Shaban Muhammad and Rashid Toha with SuperSport United.
