Sserunkuma makes debut for in Zambia

Former KCCA striker Geoffrey Sserunkuma made his debut for Zambian side Buildcon as they defeated Green Buffaloes FC 2-1 in the Zambia Super League on Wednesday evening at Stanley Imboela Stadium.

Sserunkuma who joined the Ndola based team from KCCA came as a substitute in the 84th minute to replace Jonas Sakuwaha.

Apart from Sserunkuma, Ugandans Isaac Isinde and Boban Zirintusa were also part of the match day squad for Buildcon. Isinde was part of their starting eleven while Zirintusa was an unused substitute.

Fidele Bosandja and John Mark Makwata were on the scoresheet for Builcon.

Sserunkuma was last Wednesday voted Uganda Premier League's Most Valuable Player after taking home the top scorer, fans' award and players' award as well as a Subaru Forester.

The 34-year-old striker who was the top scorer in the Azam Uganda Premier League with 21 goals, scored 31 goals last season for KCCA in all competitions.

At Buildcon, he also joined former KCCA teammate Sulaiman Akinyemi who also signed for the club recently.
