Leaders in Kaberamaido ask for oxen

Onyanga is hopeful that food production will increase if many people are availed with oxen to ensure timely planting of crops.

Leaders in Otuboi sub-county, Kaberamaido district have asked government to procure more oxen for farmers to use for ploughing.

Dominic Onyanga, the area LC3 chairperson, said that farmers who don't have oxen have failed to cultivate crops in time, something he blamed for the looming famine in some families.

Onyanga is hopeful that food production will increase if many people are availed with oxen to ensure timely planting of crops.

James Ochiman, the LCI vice chairperson of Olorok Village in Otuboi sub-county, Kaberamaido district also asked government to intervene to end famine.
