According to the director Decoda Chess Club, Sammy Sabanyinda, the  magazine will be bi-annual.

"We want to see progress in the sport of chess and having this magazine published is one way of supporting and supplementing the federation's calendar. It also helps in promoting the game among the novices and veterans," said Sammy Sabanyinda.

The Decoda chess magazine is the second local chess publication after "checkmate" (magazine)  which was first published over six years back.
