David Emong returned home to a hero’s welcome after he won Uganda’s first ever Paralympic medal.

The world champion said that the effort he has been putting into practice is worth it, and he will continue doing so to win more.

The sole Ugandan representative at the Paralympics was all full of vigor as he announced, “This is not my last. I will go out and train such that I win more medals.  I will fight to make Uganda proud again.”

He was welcomed by National council of sports board members and Uganda Para Sports Association and his family at Entebbe International Airport on July 20, 2017.
