CALL FOR APPLICATION FOR PHD, MASTERS, FELLOWSHIPS, AND BACHELOR SCHOLARSHIPS SPONSORED BY AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK, ABDIJAN|REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS

 


The Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) has received funding from the African Development Bank to train Ugandan scientists and specialists in various disciplines directly related to cancer prevention, early diagnosis, treatment, and palliation. The main goal of this training is to address crucial labour market shortages in highly skilled professions in oncological sciences and cancer control in the East African region. The Uganda Cancer Institute has partnered with Makerere University College of Health Sciences (MakCHS) to award scholarships to eligible Ugandan citizens to pursue different specializations related to Cancer care, control and research in a bid to improve the quality of cancer care, research and training at the Uganda Cancer Institute. The scholarships will provide funding for advanced degrees (PhD and Masters) and fellowship training for Successful candidates. Trainees will be expected to develop and maintain a productive career devoted to oncology, Cancer control, and research. Fully funded scholarships are available for studies to be undertaken locally at Makerere University, Mbarara University, Gulu University, or any other universities, preferably in the African continent, or sandwich inter-university training programs locally or internationally
