ICC Workshop

13-17, Kampala

Ugandan cricket has not been well documented in recent times! That is that.

Now, the better news is there is a platform for the rank and file of the gentleman's game in the country to delve into an interactive overview of the game in Uganda.

The workshop organized by ICC in partnership with Uganda Cricket Association is set to involve interactive periods with different stakeholders as there is a need to offset a poor representation of the game.

Recommendations in terms of growing further the game are going to headline the meet that runs from today until Monday at the Sheraton hotel in Kampala.

The main highlights of the magnitude of the shortcomings in Ugandan cricket come in two failed capaigns; the ICC World Cricket League Division Three that was hosted in the country in May this year where Uganda was embarrassingly relegated to division four and the ICC Africa U19 World Cup Qualifier recently where resultantly the "Baby Cricket Cranes" narrowly missed out on a slot at next year's World Cup in New Zealand.
