Parliament: Northern wing parking no more

KAMPALA - Parliament has handed over the northern wing parking yard to Roko Construction Company to start construction works for the new chamber at a cost of sh180bn.

Parliament was designed to accommodate 80 members but currently the number of legislators exceeds 400.

Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga says that the northern Wing car park will no longer be available to members to allow the construction to start.
