NATIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE

Wednesday at YMCA

Men: Oilers v Sharing

Women: Gladiators v Nkumba

Desperate for a win in today's game, the City Oilers will do all it takes to recover their Sunday loss to Ndejje Angels when they meet Sharing Youth Wednesday evening in the National Basketball League at YMCA.

"We are going to take this game a lot more serious than our previous games," said Oilers head coach Mandy Juruni.

His side lost another game last Sunday to Ndejje 77-74 to make it three losses in this campaign.

Wednesday's games between the Oilers and Sharing would ordinarily end in favour of Juruni's team but after a worrying display at the 2017 NBL campaign so far, it is only  safe to anticipate for a win to go either side.

The bitter truth is that the Oilers side has grown weaker following the changes made after the departure of shooting guard Kami Kabange and if Sharing choose to put up a commendable performance tonight, they just might offer the worrying Oilers a fourth defeat.

However with a 65-53 defeat from the weaker Startimes Falcons,  Coach Raymond Muhumuza's side may want to up their game to stand a chance to register a win from the defending champions (Oilers).

The day's opening game will see the Nkumba Marines battle the Gladiators in the Women's NBL.
