Hotel Africana human resource officer James Baker believes the team can retain the overall title after their victory over Roofings Limited in the women's pool event at the weekend.

 Proscovia Kyabikunda won the event after beating Pricilla Nakunda from Roofings Limited 2-0 in the finals at Makerere University Business School on Sunday.

Sarah Nakiganda from Civicon finished third.

"We are on the right track and I am sure we shall retain the overall title following our performance in different sports disciplines," Baker said.

Elsewhere, Centenary Bank stayed on course to retain the volleyball and basketball titles this season.

The bankers beat UHMG, Pride Microfinance, Letshego and Roofings Rolling Mill to ahead of next phase of games later this month.

They face teams like Hotel Africana, ISON, Spear Motors, DFCU, MTN, UNRA, Coca Cola, Civicon, Tropical Bank, Graphic Systems, Orient Bank, NSSF, KCCA, CIPLA and Stanbic Bank.
