Vipers' defender Halid Lwaliwa is hopeful that he will be in good shape to play for the Kitende side next season.
Lwaliwa who sustained an injury on his right knee during Uganda Cranes' 3-1 win over Kitara in the regional tours, was visited by a delegation from Vipers at Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services in Uganda (CoRSU-) Hospital in Kisubi.
"I cannot explain how I feel, having you all by my side. I am really humbled by your gesture," Lwaliwa said after undergoing surgery on his injured knee.
"Its the first injury I have suffered on my knee and I was terrified but the doctors say I will be able to play again a few months from now," .
A delegation led by club president Lawrence Mulindwa, promotions manager Robert Ssentongo, chairman George William Mulindwa, Simon Ssekankya (head of marketing), Abbey Mukiibi( Vipers Ambassador), Peter Lwanga (club CEO), Harunah Kyobe, Tadius Kitandwe ( both directors), Wycliff Luyombwa (Branding manager), Vincent Ssajjabbi ( head of finance) assured the player that they were behind him.
