Shooters 07-13 Scrap Buyers
CKI 16-04 Indigo
Hot Pool 15-05 Maga
Ronz Pool Club has continued its fairy tale run and it doesn’t look like it will end soon.
They humiliated Skin Samona by handing them their first defeat by 15-05 in Jinja on Sunday.
The newly promoted team sent out a statement of intent at the beginning of the season when they signed Navy Matovu from Scrap Buyers, Skin Samona’s Dan Mubiru and Nsubga Allan from Rock Catalina.
These decisions are paying dividends with Ronz seating at the top of the pile after taking maximum points from seven matches including two against favourites CKI and Samona.
The result against CKI was dubbed an oddity similar to a square peg in a round hole because the result was unthinkable so it was shelved as a lucky win. Little credit was given to the team from the source of the Nile but their victory against Samona has many taking notice.
Ronz made quick work of Skin Samona and made sure to send a message to the rest of the league and their doubters.
They raced to an early 5-0 lead and put all the pressure on the visitors who could only collect 3 more games as the hosts racked up ten more games to complete their obliteration of their second placed opponents.
“We are enjoying the moment right now but we need to continue the hard work if we want to continue with this run,” Roniz coach Hanz Rugari said.
The league one top scorer Eric Mugabo has been colossal in Ronz’s unbeaten start to the season. H won all 4 of his games against Samona.
