Momentum is building towards the Africa Netball Championship that starts on Saturday at Lugogo.

Namibia and Zambia are already in the country.

The two teams jetted in at 3.10am aboard Ethiopian Airlines and are accommodated at Eureka Place Hotel in Ntinda.

Botswana and Zimbabwe are expected today for the six-nation competition, according to Uganda Netball Federation (UNF) General Secretary Annet Kisomose.

Malawi, who are ranked sixth in the world, were the first team to arrive and have since played two international friendly games against Uganda.

The She Cranes, ranked 13th, beat Malawi's Queens 52-39 in the first match on Wednesday.

The Queens should however be strengthened by the arrival of their foreign-based star Joyce Mvula. The Manchester-based netballer
arrives today aboard Emirates Airlines at 9pm.

Mvula is expected to join her teammates at Eureka in Ntinda.

The She Cranes are based at Materwood Hotel in Namugongo.
