New chairman Dennis Mbidde has set his sight on the final

Airtel Buganda Masaza Cup

With just a point away from securing a quarterfinal spot for the Airtel Buganda Masaza Cup, former winners Kyadondo have set another target thanks to the slim away win at Lake Victoria island side, Buvuma at Magyo playground on Sunday.

In his first outing after being entrusted as the side's new chairman, Dennis Mbidde Ssebugwawo' plea to the players was to play entertaining football that will attract fans and secure a spot in the knockout stages.

Now, with three fixtures left and just a point needed, Mbidde has set a new target for the side; reaching the final at Namboole.

"After crossing waters and managing to come back home with three points against Buvuma to cement our top spot on 11 points with a margin of six, the team is fully away of the next hurdle and they are willing to play their lungs out to Namboole," an overwhelmed Mbidde told New Vision.

Past winners Gomba and holders Buddu also picked points away from home. On form forward Joseph Jjanjali scored the precious winning goal for Gomba away to Singo at the Mityana Ssaza ground.

At the Ssembabule playground, hosts Mawogola lost 3-1 to Buddu in a game Mikidadi Ssenyonga starred with a brace.
