Club Africain v FUS Rabat

KCCA chances of making it to the quarterfinal of the CAF Confederation Cup were dealt a blow after they lost 2-1 to Rivers United today at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt.

Bernard Ovoke opened the scoring for Rivers in the first minute of the game before Frederick Obomate doubled the lead in the 15th minute.  Geofrey Sserunkuma pulled one back for KCCA in the 45th minute.

However, KCCA's Habib Kavuma was sent off for a second yellow card.

The victory took River United to six points like KCCA and FUS Rabat but Rabat that plays Club Africain tomorrow tops the group on goal difference.

KCCA is in group A alongside FUS Rabat (Morocco), Club Africain (Tunisia) and Rivers United (Nigeria).The top-two teams in the group stages qualify for the quarterfinals.
