Yusuf Babu made a good start at the African Boxing Championships that started on Monday in Congo Brazaville.

The former National Boxing (Bombers) team captain Babu triumphed in his first fight against Algeria's Boudia Azzouz.

Babu said that his strategy is to knock out whoever he meets in order to deny the judge's an opportunity to make a decision making on his fights. This follows his controversial loss in the Bingwa wa Mabingwa boxing championship that was held in Tanzania late last year.

"I will this time try to knock out every opponent to avoid the same controversial decisions that happened last year.Knock outs are a better way to make everyone satisfied," said Babu.

Of the 9 boxers who left in the championship, captain Musa Shadir (light welter), Juma Miro (fly), Geoffrey Kakeeto (bantam), David Ayit (super heavy) are expected to have their bouts today.
