Its still early days but KIU Titans led by star player Chris Omanye have managed to put up notable performances in the 2017 National Basketball League.
Coach Hamza Nyambogo's side that has won four games on the trot, cruised to their fifth straight win of the new season by beating the UCU Canons 55-43 to register a fifth straight victory yesterday at the YMCA.
KIU Titans have already beaten Ndejje, JKL, Sharing, Our Savior but Nyambogo is still hesitant to draw any conclusions about his team's capabilities.
"The team's performance has not been bad and I must say I'm the happiest coach this season so far. However, I can not conclude that this year's team all different from what I had last season," said Nyambogo.
"However, beating one of the league's good teams (UCU) is something."
It is also not news that the Titans have for years dominated the regular season but it remains to be seen how far they can go this season.
Omonye nailed a game high 17 points and four rebounds to lead his side to victory. Micheal Bwanga and Sudi Ulanga added 13 and 11 respectively.
