On Friday May 19, 2017 Trevor Ibra, flew back to Uganda with a smile on his face after he successfully underwent an open heart surgery.

The four year old travelled to India in April with his mother, Annet Namubiru, a resident of Kinawattaka, a Kampala suburb.

He was operated upon to close 4 holes on his heart in the Narayan Group of hospitals in India.

At the beginning of this year, Ibra appeared in Saturday Vision seeking for financial assistance to save his life.

This was after a non-governmental organization; Action for disadvantaged people (ACDIPE) offered to foot his medical bill amounting to Sh18millions.

His mother was then tasked to look for Sh11 millions that was needed for air tickets and hospital stay.

Fortunately, a good Samaritan came to Ibra's rescue and donated to him all the balance required, (Sh11millions).

Muhammad Ahmed Moukbel, a businessman in Kikuubo, Kampala says that he was touched by Ibra's plight which is why he decided to help him.

"You don't need to be wealthy to help. It is an obligation in my Islamic faith," notes Moukbel, a Ugandan of Lebanese origin.

He adds by emphasizing the need for helping those in need in order to make the world a better place to live in.

While handing over money to Ibra's mother on April 15, 2017, Moukbel's son, Muhammad Moukbel said that his family has always been touched by the plight of sick children in need of help.

They are adherent readers of Saturday vision which features a page on children's news.

According to Moukbel, even with Ibra's visible heart breaking health, they had to confirm the credibility of the medical documents before them.

"When I visited the Heart Institute Mulago, Dr Sulaiman Lubega narrated to me that Ibra's condition needed immediate surgery  for him to survive," he recollects adding that with this report, his dad released the funds in cash and in a few days, Ibra left for India where he spent close to a month.

Happily, Namubiru says that Ibra no longer feels pain and his breath normalized though he is still on medication.
