A carnival atmosphere prevailed in Arua town ahead of the Uganda Cup final between Paidha Black Angels and Kampala City Capital Authority to be played at the Green light stadium.

Drumming, singing and Vuvuzela blowing from both set of fans is the main activity that greeted Arua residents this morning as fans eagerly wait for kick-off. And by the look of things, it will continue until kick off and or even after the match.

Over 200 Vuvuzela blowing KCCA FC fans arrived in Arua aboard Gaagaa buses and mini buses as early as 7am while droves of Paidha fans started trickling in around 9 am with all means of transport including boda bodas, lorries and cars.

Excitement is in the air and depending on who you talk to, every set of fans expects their side to win today's match.

Traditionally KCCA FC has a strong fan base in Arua.

"We are going to win the game because we believe that any team that crosses the Nile cannot go back with a victory; that is our motto in West Nile," Junior Oweki a Paidha Black Angels fan vowed.

"We are going to win 2-0. If we could beat Vipers, who is KCCA FC?," Sunday Jalalu wondered. "It's a walkover for us," a one Jimmy Onduvuruga added.

"With the Onduparaka support we are going to run over these Kampalans. The trophy cannot cross Karuma, we are ready to win the game come rain or sunshine," Junior Herbert another Paidha van stated.

On the other hand, an Arua based KCCA FC fan Ashiraf Tabala said KCCA would win 3-0.

"KCCA is going to win this game. We are at another level and cannot lose to a Big League side. We are continental material and we want to set a new record by winning both trophies. The good thing we have proved that we can win from anywhere so there is no worries," Ronald Kiryowa said.

Saidi Bbale from Kalerwe said KCCA was going to display a good game that the locals were going to enjoy and thanked the team administration for looking after the team.
