Five killed, 12 missing in Amuru disputes

Government has condemned violence, which took place at Apaa Village, Labala Parish Pabbo Sub County in Amuru district following land dispute between the Acholi and Madi.

The Primes Minister Ruhakana Rugunda said that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

Five people were killed and over 200 grass thatch huts were burnt down last week after fresh violence broke out between the Acholi and Madi.

A total of 12 people are still missing.  It is still unclear whether they are dead or hiding in the bushes.

Ruganda visited the victims of tribal clashes who are admitted at Saint Mary's hospital Lacor.
