State of the Nation Address: Who dressed to impress?

It's not only State of the Nation Address. We also examine the state of our MPs' and delegates' sense of fashion and style. Who nailed it? According to the pictures, who took time to appear elegant? Who dressed to impress?

 A black and white affair. As usual, state minister for youth and chidren affairs, Florence Kiyingi nailed it. She scored 75%.

 Perfect match. State minister for health (general duties) Sarah Opendi walked away with 66%.

 

Oh God! Just speechless. Former EALA MP Lydia Wanyoto scored below 20% just for a nice pair of trendy shoes.

Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa put her university fine art lessons to play. She stood out of the crowd. Not many women MPs wore busuti. Hers was not a last minute choice. She scored 80%.

 Yellow and brown. Health minister Dr Ruth Aceng defined elegancy. she scored 60%

 Rubaga South MP Kato Lubwama strives to improve everyday. He looked smart. He scored 62%.

 Kampala Central MP Mohammed Nsereko is one of those ever-smart MPs. For this particular occassion, a 54% will work for him.

 State minister for urban development Isaac Musumba scored an average mark, 50%. He did not button his jacket.

 

Generally smart. Internal affairs minister Gen Jeje Odongo scored 70%.

 Nakasongola Woman MP (left) Margaret Kyomuhangi impressed with a knee-low, blue with white floral skirt. She scored 65%.

 

 

 The typical Kagina suits. UNRA executive director Allen Kagina rocked. She scored 63%.

On first sight, you would mistake Jennifer Musisi's high waist grey pair of trousers for a jump suit. She has always pulled attention with her trademark sleeveless body-hugging executive dresess. The debate is already on. Wasn't she too casual for an official function? She scored a 50%.

 In an attempt to march. Kampala minister Beti Kamya had little to impress with an ordinary dress. She scored 48%.

 This was too simple for Uganda Revenue Authority boss Doris Akol. She scored below average.

Nice suit dress with matching pair of shoes. The black hand bag spoiled the combination for the works and transport minister Azuba Ntege. She scored 60%

 Different colours put together. The facial impression says it all.

What happened to the former finance minister Sydah Bbumba this time round? She scored 50%.

 A mixture of animal print/floral straight dress was not a bad idea but the shoes. She scored 45%.

 

Perfect combination for Sembabule woman MP Hajjat Anifa Kawooya. She scored 70%.

 Dressed gracefully MP Safia Nalule scored 55%.

 Head up. What else? She scored 65%.

 Minister for Presidency (left) Esther Mbayo and a colleague looked gorgeous. 65% for each.

Lands minister Betty Amongi scored 62%.

 Trade minister Amelia Kyambadde scored 68%.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Each of these MPs scored 55%.

The gentleman (second right) trying to get it right. The rule is that whenever you're not seated, you must have your jacket buttoned. Many men do not know this rule.

The head of public service and the secretary to cabinet John Mitala stood out of the crowd. Not many men are aware that collarless suits are in vogue.

 In the name of this function, I will attend.  Each of these MPs scored 45%.

 Too many cooks.... the gentleman on teh right spoiled the picture with ub buttoned jacket. I repeat, the rule is that whenever you're not seated, you must have your jacket buttoned.

 Wow!! When a nice outfit happens on a nice body. State minister for lands Percis Namuganza looking very elegant. She scored 80%.

 Cindrella is back. ICT state minister Aidah Nantaba scored 60%.

 What happened to Angella Katatumba? Aha!!!  She scored 20%.

Do you also agree that the Leader of Oppostion in Parliament Winfred Kiiza's suit looks oversized? For the love of her party colours, she scored a 50%.

 Teso affairs minister Agnes Akiror (right) can do better. She scored 48%.

 This reminds me of Valentine's Day. Red and black, you cannot wrong. She scored 55%.

 The ordinary black pair of shoes spoiled a high-class silver grey suit.

 Rukungiri Woman MP Winfred Matsiko scored 65%.

 This is a cheap blouse by all standards. Never team maroon with red. She scored 28%.

 Top-laced kintenge for Hajjat Rehema Wetongola. She scored 52%.
