STATE OF THE NATION

KAMPALA - As the country prepares for the State of the Nation Address today, some MPs have given mixed views on the things they expect President Yoweri Museveni to address.

He will deliver the address at Serena Kampala Hotel this afternoon.

Museveni will open the second session of Parliament and also address the country on its economic, political and social status prior to reading of the budget.

Some of the MPs Vision Group's XFM spoke to who include the Bugangaizi East mp Twinamasiko Onesimus, Robert Centenary from Kasese Municipality and Gerald Karuhanga from Ntungamo Municipality said that they hope that the president will this time round address the most important issues affecting Ugandans.

The Bukooli County Central MP Silwany Solomon, also NRM caucus vice chairperson, said he would like to hear the president inform Ugandans on how far the country has reached in achieving the middle-income status.
