The arrival of KCCA FC players to join the Cranes team for the international friendly against Lions of Teranga at National Leopold SendarSenghol Stadium (LSS) offers Uganda a near full-strength squad against the home side tonight.

In the absence of Denis Onyango, who is yet to join the team from Uganda, Benjamin Ochan is expected to start in the posts.

Team captain Hassan Wasswa believes the arrival of the players will add competition for players in the team as they prepare for their opening AFCON qualifier on Saturday.

"We expect better performances in all the departments of the team compared to when we played Ethiopia. We have no more chance and we shall use this game to fine tune ourselves before we go to Cape Verde," Wasswa said after training last night.

Arrival of Ochan, Denis Okoth, Isaac Muleme, Timothy Awany and Geoffrey Serunkuuma saw Cranes coach Milutin Sredejovic release Deus Bukenya, Martin Kizza, Nelson Senkatuka, Said Keni and SavioKabugo to go back to Kampala and Ntambi Crizestom back to join his Ethiopian team.
