Despite their 80-81 loss to Betway Power in game two of the 2017 National Basketball League, the UCU Canons are looking to put that behind them as they face the Pemba Warriors today at Lugogo.
"We are very much aware that today's game will be a tough one but we shall come out to play. We are ready to take them on (Warriors)," said UCU coach, Nicholas Natuhereza.
However, the Canons will need to go hard on Ronald Mutebi's side if they are to match their physical opponents.
"Our style of play against the UCU Canons will not be any different," said Warriors' Mutebi.
"Playing UCU is one encounter we have been looking forward to and beating them is another thing we hope to attain."
Early this year, the Warriors lost to UCU during the UCU Open, one of the many losses to the Canons that Mutebi wishes to avoid in today's game.
With Natuhereza's talented team's good offense and shooting skills, going up against Mutebi's robust side means the winning team will more likely nick it other than run away with it.
