KCCA held on for a 0-0 draw with Express FC away at Wankulukuku Stadium to advance to the Uganda Cup final and maintain hopes of a domestic double.

KCCA coach Mike Mutebi said reaching the final will serve as a huge boost to his players ahead of Saturday's CAF Confederation Cup tie against Rivers United from Nigeria at Lugogo.

They will face FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels in the final.

The West Nile side eliminated Sadolin Paints 3-2 on aggregate to reach their first ever final.

"It's going to be a big morale booster for my players ahead of the Saturday game. We managed and circulated the ball well although we were inefficient in the final third. We missed eight clear chances but those are some of the aspects we are going to look at before Saturday," Mutebi said.

Mutebi also praised Vincent Kayizzi for his display on the day saying "He was fantastic. That's what we need from an experienced player like him".
