Vice-captain Habib Kavuma has signed a two year contract extension with league champions KCCA FC.

The experienced defender who joined the club at the beginning of the 2012/13 season will have his contract run till the 2018/19 season.

He also praised Mutebi for the tremendous growth in his career.

"Coach Mike is the reason I am playing the way I am. He spotted me as a better centre half and not a full back, he trusted me in central defence and now am flourishing.

Right now he is building a project that will last for some time and I want to be part of that project as a player and later in any other capacity," he added.

The 26-year-old has been a key pillar for KCCA's defence this season has also played for the national team, the Uganda Cranes.
