VVC may not take part in Rwanda Genocide Cup

In the last two editions, Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) and Sport-S women have made it to the semifinals

Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) head coach Hannington Nsubuga is yet to make a decision on whether or not to compete in this year's Rwanda Genocide Memorial Cup in Kigali on June 3-4.

After a mixed performance where VVC managed to beat national champions Ndejje Elites and lost to Nkumba in the National Volleyball League, Nsubuga insists that his team is not prepared for an international competition.

"It was a tough weekend and as the (women's) team stands now, we cannot risk to go for an international event. (Genocide Memorial Cup). We have lost key players which has affected our team," Nsubuga said.

In the last two editions, Vision Volleyball Camp (VVC) and Sport-S women have made it to the semifinals. Sport-S and Nemostars men also achieved the same.

As it is now, VVC do not have a setter because their first choice Milly Laker found a new job so she cannot train and play for the club.

"Our main setter Milly got busy with work and Shamim Makongoro (second choice) also transferred to Sport-S. I changed Josephine formerly an attacker into a setter. She is doing her best but she needs more time to deliver," Nsubuga.
