Four years ago, City Oilers took the National Basketball League (NBL) by storm, winning the title and dominating the top flight league in the following years.

However, five time NBA league champions, Betway Power have made their intentions to claim the 2017 league title and end that dominance, very clear.

So far so good. Coach Arnold Lando's sides have proven to be the new season's untouchables beating arguably the two strongest teams (Oilers and UCU) but it only remains to be seen how long the team can sustain the momentum.

Power defeated a strong UCU Canons side 81-80 at YMCA on Sunday.

Lando's team was led by Micheal Makiadi who nailed a game high 18 points and eight rebounds. Paul Odong and Isaac Afidra added 17 points Power.

UCU Coach Nicholas Natuhereza's side who had a slow start had Jonathan Egau step off the bench for register 21 points and nine rebounds but it was not enough to stop the in-form Power side.
