KCCA brightened their chances of reaching the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup when they came from goal down to beat Tunisian giants Club Africain 2-1 on Tuesday  at Phillip Omondi Stadium, Lugogo in Kampala.

Mokhtar Belkhither scored for visitors in the 18th minute when he caught the KCCA defense napping with a shot past goalkeeper Benjamin Ochan.

KCCA bounced back with two minutes to half time when Derrick Nsibambi headed home Denis Okot's cross.

Tom Masiko shone again when he powered home a shot past Club Africain goalkeeper Farouk Ben Mustapha to put KCCA a head in the 63rd minute.

KCCA is in group A alongside FUS Rabat (Morocco), Club Africain (Tunisia) and Rivers United (Nigeria). The top-two teams in the group stages will qualify for the quarterfinals.

The win was KCCA's first in the group stages having been beaten 3-0 by FUS Rabat in Morocco two weeks ago. KCCA will now host Rivers United in their next game on June 3rd at home. ​
