James Tumwebaze, who also guarding with GUS, said it was at around 6.30 in the morning when he heard gun shots coming from their residence.

"When I went there to find out what had really happened, I found the gun abandoned in the compound. Odome had already taken off and Okiira lying dead on the bed in the house," he said.

Dan Amusing, Okiira's neighbor and workmate, said by the time the incident happened, he was not at home.

Amusing said he was surprised to find the gun abandoned and Okiira lying on the bed and dead, prompting him to inform their bosses.

A police investigations team commanded by the officer in charge of crime in Mukono Police division, Ibrah Batasi visited the scene of crime and carried out thorough investigations.

Police later picked the body and transfered it to Mulago City Mortuary for postmortem.
