Godfrey Galabuzi Musisi was yesterday charged with two counts of illegal possession of firearms and conspiracy to murder by Grade one magistrate Margaret Annyu.

Nakawa Chief Magistrate's Court has remanded to Luzira Prison, a junior UPDF officer accused of illegal possession of firearms.

Godfrey Galabuzi Musisi was yesterday charged with two counts of illegal possession of firearms and conspiracy to murder by Grade one magistrate Margaret Annyu.

The magistrate read out the charges to Musisi, who did not plead to the charges because the charge sheet was defective.

He is battling the said charges together with a one Benard Mutebi, who is still at large. However, court has issued criminal summons against him.

As Musisi was led to the court cell by prison warders, he disclosed that "I was given bond at Kira road police station today (Tuesday) and promised a lift to the hospital since I was sick, but surprisingly they dragged me to court. I do not know what is happening because I have been charged over trumped up charges six times since 2004".

Musisi revealed that he was arrested on March, 22, 2017 and detained at Nalufenya police station in Jinja district where he was interrogated over the Murder of former Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kaweesi.

On March 17, 2017 Kaweesi was shot dead alongside his body guard Kenneth Erau and driver Geoffrey Mambewo by unknown assailants. The case was adjourned to May 16, 2017.
