Musisi said she could not receive substandard work that wasted taxpayers' money.

KAMPALA - KCCA executive director Jennifer Musisi has declined to commission shoddy works at Kisaasi Primary school.

The authority awarded Timtek Construction Company a sh672m contract to renovate the school and Musisi was invited last evening to launch the school.

But after touring the school, Musisi said she could not receive substandard work that wasted taxpayers' money.

Musisi said KCCA would not pay the balance until the poor work is dealt with according to required standards.

George Otim, the managing director of Timtec reacted to the development.

He said that bad luck for this project does not justify the allegations that they do shoddy work, because they have in the past worked on many government projects for which they were even awarded certificates.
