Katakwi youth warned against politisising gov't programs

The urge made by Ambrose Mwesigye, the Resident district commissioner Katakwi followed concerns of many youth groups who have failed to re pay youth livelihood program funds, something he attributed to the youth attitude of politicizing the program.

The Youth in Katakwi have been warned against politicizing government programs in order to accrue benefits to imprvoe their livelihoods.

The urge made by Ambrose Mwesigye, the Resident district commissioner Katakwi followed concerns of many youth groups who have failed to re pay youth livelihood program funds, something he attributed to the youth attitude of politicizing the program.

Speaking to new vision, Mwesigye urged the youth to shun political differences but embrace youth livelihood program as a government program meant to fight rampant unemployment.

Augustine Iyeset, the district youth councilllor challenged the youth to set guiding principles governing their groups in order to succeed.

He said the youth should come up with aims and objectives which helps them to have focus.

Meanwhile Betty Ikareut, Katakwi District Community Development Officer appealed to the youth to avoid hatred in groups to achieve the set goals.
