Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander Frank Mwesigwa thanked UOC and FUFA for supporting the force.

In a bid to promote sports and also support police in fighting crime in society, Uganda Olympic committee (UOC) and FUFA have donated equipment to Police to use in their sports gala due on Sunday at Wankulukuku stadium.

FUFA president Moses Magogo and UOC president William Blick committed their support to police before handing over jerseys and soccer balls, handball balls and medals for the winners to Kampala metropolitan police commander Frank Mwesigwa.

"Football is in two categories, Elite football played by professionals and mass football played by everybody in the community. So supporting these galas to create stability in the country is our responsibility," Magogo stated before handing over sixty balls.

"Beside the IGP being our patron, police is a leading house in sports development and as UOC we are proud to partner with it in community policing project," UOC chief Blick said before handing over jerseys to police.
