Kalangala Oil Palm Growers Trust (KOPGT) supports oil palm farmers in Kalangala to grow oil palm and market the crop for the benefit of the oil palm growers. KOPGT provides long term reliable support to small scale oil palm farmers and out growers scheme on Bugala and outlying islands in Kalangala District.

KOPGT works closely with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries (MAAIF)- Vegetable Oil Development Project phase two (VODP2) to achieve its mission of supporting farmers. VODP2 is jointly funded by International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) and the Government of the Republic of Uganda.

To realize its mission, KOPGT maintains a lean secretariat on Bugala Island (Kalangala), Uganda and now intends to strengthen the human resource capacity at the Secretariat by recruiting personnel for two vacant positions.

Qualified candidates of Ugandan citizenship should post or hand deliver their CVs, cover letter and copies of academic documents not later than May 19, 2017.
